What the audit looks like.
Every VERIS audit delivers two documents. Here is what they contain using a fictional business for illustration.
The findings report.
The PDF report is branded, structured, and professional. It contains a cover page, an executive summary with total finding counts and a commercial-impact summary, and one page per major finding.
Each finding uses a five-part structure: what was found, why it matters, severity classification, commercial impact note, and how to verify it yourself.
Every finding includes the exact Google tool URL and steps to check it, so you can verify each one before deciding whether to proceed.
Use this with Claude as an independent check.
The plain-text document is included in the delivery email. You copy everything below a clear divider line and paste it into claude.ai. Claude receives structured instructions to act as an independent reviewer and is explicitly told what it can and cannot do.
If Claude disputes a finding, VERIS corrects it and revises the report. A disputed finding handled transparently builds more trust than a report that was never questioned.
